If you’re already a member of That Au-Some Book Club, you know we’ve been learning all about neurodiversity from autistic authors, bloggers, and their allies.
We’re putting all that knowledge into practice with this new at-home learning group on Facebook!
This is a group for ANY parent – especially parents who:
- are new to virtual/home/unschooling.
- love unschooling or homeschooling their kids.
- don’t think they have the tools to teach their children.
- want to use their child’s interests to facilitate learning.
- recognize their kids learn in their own way and on their own schedule.
- are slightly inappropriate and enjoy a good laugh.

If you’d like to join us and don’t have the funds, email me notanautismmom @ gmail dot com, or send me a message on my Facebook page.
Each month, we’re exploring a different topic to help us navigate at-home learning. These units will come complete with mini webinars, related resources, and meaningful conversations.
Check in and talk with other parents in the group. You aren’t alone and these chats can be so fulfilling! We’ll schedule them twice a month.
Live Cooking Shenanigans
Join Meghan’s crew on Zoom each month while we create something tasty. It’ll be loud, messy, and lots of fun! Stimming isn’t required, but it’s always encouraged!
I’ll distribute visual recipes and word wall cards ahead of time, so all you need is the ingredients!
Create a Community
This is a group for parents who celebrate their children’s unique strengths, learning styles, and communication preferences.
Build Your Confidence
Are you wondering if you’ve got what it takes to teach your children? Build your confidence and skill set as you begin to recognize that learning is everywhere!
Who’s Running This Group???
Hi, My name is Michelle. I am a mom with two kiddos, ages 9 and 12. We’ve been homeschooling/unschooling for a bit over 7 years now.
Its been an amazing journey for us where we get to explore and enjoy each other’s deep interests and find joy in the learning process.
My background is in Exceptional Student Education. I have always worked with diverse learners. I love learning about the way children learn and finding the way to honor every one’s individual learning process.
I currently tutor and run groups for diverse learners and my goal is always to empower the student to find confidence in themselves and discover the joy in their own learning process.
I look forward to talking all things homeschooling/unschooling with all of you!
Hello! I’m Erika and I am a former secondary science teacher and current unschooling mom of two (ages 9 and 11) in a neurodiverse family.
I love exploring connected parenting and family relationships, encouraging passion-directed learning, and brainstorming how self care fits in the context of parenting and homeschooling.
I also have a background in filmmaking, music, and health and wellness, and I enjoy learning as much as I can about everything!
I am looking forward to putting the focus on creating a supportive environment for our kids to thrive!
This group believes diversity makes the world a better place –
Racial diversity, Neurodiversity, You Name It!
Group leaders are often inappropriate and unprofessional.
Shenanigans will be ongoing.~Not an Autism Mom
